Sriracha is a spicy sauce made with red jalapeno peppers and garlic that is traditionally served with Vietnamese and Thai food. This homemade sriracha sauce can be used as a base for a whole range of dips and sauces, like my favorite sriracha tamari dipping sauce (recipe below), giving them a spicy, tangy flavor. The red jalapeno peppers are very rich in capsaicin, that can help speed up metabolism and boost weight loss, as well as curb overeating by taming appetite. Red jalapenos are also rich in flavonoids, vitamin C and vitamin A and are excellent antioxidants.
