Creamy Mushroom Sauce Recipe
Prep Time: 5 min | Cook Time: 20 min | Serves: 4
+ 1 tbsp coconut oil
+ 1 small onion
+ 3 garlic cloves
+ 3 cups mushrooms, sliced
+ 1/3 cup coconut milk
+ 1/2 tsp dried thyme
+ 1/2 tsp dried oregano
+ sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
+ 1 tsp whole wheat flour
+ 2 tbsp fresh parsley, coarsely chopped
Heat the coconut oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until soft.
Tip in mushrooms and garlic, and sauté for about 7 minutes until the mushrooms start to release their juices.
Stir in coconut milk, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat and simmer for another 7 minutes.
Mix in flour and simmer for 2-3 more minutes until the sauce thickens.
Garnish with parsley and serve. Enjoy!
